Reporting Line: Duty Manager

Job Summary
Implement and supervise all load controllers and the activities to ensure competence is maintained among the practicing staff.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ground handling activities to ensure delivery of safe effective and punctual aircraft services with adherence to the flight requests order.
  • Maintain effective coordination of the suppliers and contractors engaged in the functions involved with the handling of flights.
  • Act as the key liaison with all operational agencies including crew on issues arising, when supervising the aircraft turnaround activities.
  • Ensuring that the flight activities are in conformance with local regulations and standards operating procedures of handling aircraft.
  • Coordinate and direct any other operational activities requested for by the customer airline.
  • Ensure that processes are delivered within SKA standards of performance and compliance limits.
  • Ensure activity sequence matches stated turnaround plan with all activities delivered within the agreed times.
  • Liaise with and between teams departments and suppliers to inhibit discrepancies in task sequence or performance.

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, experience)

  • University Degree or equivalent. 
  • Credit in Mathematics at O’ Level.
  • At least five years’ work experience in the service industry. 
  • Technical Qualifications in Weight and Balance Training, SMS, Turnaround Coordinator training, Aircraft Loading and handling Conversant with MS Office packages (Word, Excel) and E-mail.
