Reports Line: Duty Manager
        
Job Summary
The Turnaround Coordinator (TRC) shall ensure effective implementation of the aircraft turnaround plan to achieve a safe, secure, efficient and punctual aircraft turnaround.

Key Accountabilities/ Responsibilities

  • Ensure the turnaround activities are in conformance with regulations/requirements of customer airline and standard operating procedures;
  • Co-ordinate and direct operational activities within the turnaround;
  • Manage any disruptions to turnaround activities;
  • Ensure that processes are delivered within SLA standards of performance and compliance limits;
  • Ensure activity sequence matches turnaround plan with all activities delivered within the agreed times;
  • Liaise with and between teams, departments and suppliers to inhibit discrepancies in task sequence or performance;
  • Act as a central point of contact;
  • Act as a safety coordinator by maintaining safe and secure processes for the duration of turnaround activities. 
  • Supervise all Load Control activities and processes.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Duty Manager.

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, experience)

  • Degree or diploma in aviation, Tourism or business administration  
  • 5 Years’ experience in airport operations or with an airline/ reputable GHA 
  • Ramp training
  • Airside safety training 
  • IATA DGR CAT 10 Training
  • Computer proficiency 
  • First Aid training
  • Fire safety training 
  • Aircraft Handling & Loading training 
  • SMS (Safety Management System) Training
  • Quality or SLA Training (added advantage)
  • Load Control Training
